Advanced Forest Ecology

Silvical characteristics of trees and environmental factors affecting the establishment, growth, and development of forests. Topics include the structure and function of forest communities, disturbance, succession, nutrient cycling, and community analysis. Laboratory exercises include field techniques in forest ecosystem analysis.
